Peoples myspaces?

sometimes i'm shocked by what people put on their myspace. It seems like many girls use it as a place to post slutty pics, then i'll often see guys posting pimplike pics with the slutty looking girls. I have a myspace, but i keey it g rated...why make yourself look like a ho? I also notice that the people i know always look worlds better on their myspace...im like is that you? ok i guess this is rant, but does anyone agree? sometimes i think the net has changed things for the worst. i have actually 'nexted' guys over their myspace...

Yeah I agree. Sometimes people will post a reveling picture and their myspace will bring you to a different website so it's like advertisement. But in general girls that post slutty pictures confuse slutty with pretty. People look better on their myspaces because they pick pictures that they think they look the best in. They aren't going to post an ugly *** picture of themselves even if that is what they look like everyday.

Eesh. Yeah...

A young girl I know HAD a Myspace till I found it. They had revealing pics and all these comments from other TWELVE AND THIRTEEN YEAR OLDS that talked about drugs and sex- and how they were, "GANGSTA". They're the whitest, most suburban group of kids on the planet... People, even good ones, can be so darn fake on the net.

Honestly, it's healthy to have an outlet and it's okay to use the net to emulate personality traits you're otherwise uncomfortable displaying (or haven't yet built up the confidence to display in real life).

Some people are so emboldened by the anonymity of the net that they take things too far and post slutty pictures or, "pimp" pics when that's only a reflection of their digital self. These are probably the same sort of people who have a hard time differentiating between the importance of real life experience/networking/socialization and net life.

The ones I am most disheartened by are the ones who really ARE slutty or whatever who are using the net to promote their nasty habits and further their skank ways. Kids are on the net and absorb everything they see...
