What is your opinion on schools giving consequenses to students with myspaces?

Is this really happening? That's just wrong.

I believe in this.

MySpace is very harmful to people

The chat is never "watched".

They allow harsh words.

People lie about ages and about who they are

Creeps who are 68 go on for kids

OMG I'm going to delete my myspace

I think it's really stupid because they're trying to stop them from having a myspace, which is completely harmless if you don't put your information on it that people can use to find it, but they can still get on the internet and do the same thing anywhere else.

If they are going to give consequences for visiting myspace while at school, than they shouldn't leave out any other "friend"-type webpage.

In fact, schools shouldn't allow most internet activity at all. Unless it's for research, than the kids don't need to be looking at it.

Harsher rules, I say...

depends on the circumstances. if it's a school computer it's their call. if it's done while at school on their computers it's their call again. I dont see how they would enforce it any other place.

I think it's reasonable if it has caused problems in the past; and they no doubt decided it did, so they have created that rule.

if it's a rule and someone breaks the rule; there should be consequences. dont you think?
