Why was this question removed?

i'm pretty sure that one thing you aren't allowed to do is promote websites, unless it is relevant to a question that you are answering. and even though you are asking a question about other people's sites, the point of the question is simply to tell people about yours. and that's not allowed.

Why was this question removed?

Hi.

This question violates Yahoo! Format and Yahoo! Community Guidelines...

Let me explain why your question violated Yahoo! format first.

Yahoo! Questions and Answers is a community where people ASK and ANSWER questions. When you decide to ask a question, it must be written in the form of a question to gain knowledge... When you decide to answer a question, it must be an attempt to answer the question being asked. Failure to follow this format will result in violation of Yahoo! Community Guidelines.

Please read more for full explanation at this official link http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/answers...

Since your question wasn't intended to gain knowledge, it fell in violation.

Let explain why your question was in violation of Yahoo! Community Guidelines.

Inserting links outside of Yahoo! is against Yahoo! Community guidelines, and is considered soliciting.

To learn how you may insert links, please visit Yahoo! official explanatory link below to learn.

UPDATE: I am sorry you misunderstood what Questions and Answers is. Whenever someone asks to get to know someone, it is not to gain knowledge, but rather to seek friendship, which is again a violation of Yahoo! Questions and Answers. If you wish to become friends or ask questions about your site, please use another Yahoo! service, such as Yahoo! Chatrooms, Messengers, etc, for best result.

Thank you for reading.

Take care.
